Knocked up
Allison Scott (Heigl) is an up-and-coming entertainment journalist whose 24-year-old life is on the fast track. But it gets seriously derailed when a drunken one-nighter with slacker Ben Stone (Rogen) results in an unwanted pregnancy. Faced with the prospect of going it alone or getting to know the baby's father, Allison decides to give the lovable doof a chance. An overgrown kid who has no desire to settle down, Ben learns that he has a big decision to make with his kid's mom-to-be: will he hit the road or stay in the picture? Courting a woman you've just Knocked Up, however, proves to be a little difficult when the two try their hands at dating. As they discover more about one another, it becomes painfully obvious that they're not the soul mates they'd hoped they might be. With Allison's harried sister Debbie (Mann) and hen-pecked brother-in-law Pete (Rudd) the only parenting role models the young lovers have, things get even more confusing. Should they raise the baby together? What makes a happy lifetime partnership after all? A couple of drinks and one wild night later, they've got nine confusing months to figure it out...

The Fall and Decline of the Pirates of the Caribbean
Some of you might have purchased that ticket to see the latest "Pirates" movie but it seems that most of you decided to skip out on it this time. The family adventure film failed to live up to it's predecessor this Sunday in the American Box office.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" sold an estimated $126.5 million worth of tickets during the Friday-to-Sunday portion of the U.S. Memorial Day holiday weekend, distributor Walt Disney Co. said on Sunday.
"Pirates" did, however, break the four-day (Friday-Monday) Memorial Day record with a day to spare. The old mark of $123 million was set last year by "X-Men: The Last Stand." Internationally, "Pirates" earned $176.7 million from 102 markets, Disney said.
The marketers behind the situation however are not ready to put on there unhappy faces yet. Apparently the competition was tough, with Spider Man 3 and Shrek the Third all showing very closely (wow they are all triquels).
What I am most concerned about is how this will affect the rumored release of a fourth "Pirates". This one may not have been that good but they should finish the thing off and create a tv spin-off when they're done.

Review : 28 Weeks later
hi its Hubert again, and this time I'll be doing a review on the movie "28 Weeks later". this was the sequel to "28 days later" but now it's Six months after the rage virus was inflicted on the population of the British Isles, the US Army helps to secure a small area of London for the survivors to repopulate and start again. But not everything goes to plan.
This movie was very interesting, and again the US Army has a main role in a zombie movie. Another zombie film that the US Army was in was "The hills have eye's 2", that was made a sequel as well to "the hills have eye's 1". This film had just the perfect hint of horror that it was suppose to have if it wanted to be a success, the film brought me to my seat and thinking what the next move was going to be. The movie as well had great character reactions, what i mean is, that horrors usually contain idiots that always do the opposite reaction to what they should have done in the first place, this movie contained great characters that knew how to play their roles to a perfection. This was definitely a well directed film, and a great sequel to the original film.
Review: Hot Fuzz
At first glance, Hot Fuzz seems to be one of those British comedy films that have had a long history of success in North America (Like Mr.Bean and Borat). Looking at the trailers you would probably figure that it was a cop movie parody, but this movie packs more surprise then expected. It is about a police officer in London who is absolutely flawless at what he does. In fact, he is so flawless that the station he is working at is worried. They are all afraid that Sergent Angel will make them look bad and as a result they will loose their jobs. Angel is reassigned to a small town. This town seems to be perfect and boasts the lowest crime rate in Britain. But Angel isn't falling for the facade. As he is teamed up with a officer who is inferior to him in everyday, he teaches the officer obsessed with action that police work is not all about fighting. But this whole ideal is scrapped when Angel takes part in the longest action scene I have ever seen in my life!
As for the comedy... hmm, lets just say the humor of this movie is not what kept me watching. I don't know if its just because I'm not British, but I only found my self laughing three times at most during the whole movie. The movie was much more interesting than funny and that is probably the only reason I would recommend it. For some reason I couldn't stop watching the damn movie! Maybe this is the silent type of humor? I don't know, but whatever it was it kept me watching. I would definitely consider this movie entertaining but then again, it wasn't one of those spectacular movies that made you laugh your ass off. So for that I will give it a 3.5 out of 5. Watch it because you might understand the humor that I could not.

Review: Shrek the Third
Hi after being your sports news information updater, I Hubert Filipkowski will give reviews on movies and update you with Wat's Hot and Wat's Not.
I went to see Shrek the third with my girlfriend, after seeing both the first and second sequels, I've got to say it was pretty funny at times but not nearly as much as the first two. I guess my sister was always right, Sequels do ruin a movie, or at least the second was alright but they should have stopped production then and their.
After the movie me and my girlfriend definitely weren't left breathless at this production, then again we were getting a little breathless from making out, because that's how entertaining the movie was. The bottom line is that I would probably give this movie a rating of 3 stars out of 5.
